What a First Day on a Hair Extension Course Often Involves

What to expect and what to bring

Providers run their days differently, so treat this as a general picture and confirm the details with whoever runs your course.

The start

Most days begin with introductions and a talk about hair, scalp health and safety. You are likely to meet the tools and products you will use.

The practical part

Expect to learn by doing: sectioning, fitting and, usually, removal, with a teacher watching and correcting. You will probably practise on a training head.

What to bring

  • Tied-back hair and comfortable shoes
  • A notebook and a pen
  • Questions written down in advance

What to ask beforehand

  • What time does it start and finish?
  • Is lunch provided, or should I bring my own?
  • Is there anything I should not wear?

If you are looking at Leeds dates, send these questions in your first WhatsApp message and note the answers.

Ask about dates

Message the provider to ask which Leeds date is next, what is in the starter kit and how to get there.
